For the 2012 model year, Honda has dropped the Accord from the Accord Crosstour crossover making the official name of the car – the 2012 Honda Crosstour.

The 2012 Honda Crosstour is still available in two trim levels, the Crosstour EX and EX-L, with Real Time 4WD also available on the EX-L model. There is still no 4-cylinder option so power still comes from a 3.5 liter V6 making 271 horsepower at 6,200 RPM and 254 lb-ft. of torque at 5,000 RPM. No major gain in fuel-economy numbers so it still achieves 18/27/21 mpg (city/highway/combined) on 2WD models and 18/26/21 mpg on 4WD models.
So what’s new for the 2012 Honda Crosstour besides the name? It’s all summed up in this little paragraph right here:
“For 2012, new features on the Crosstour EX include auto on/off headlights, a rearview camera, Bluetooth Hands Free Link and USB audio interface. Two new colors are also available on all Crosstour models: Twilight Blue Metallic replaces Glacier Blue Metallic, and Basque Red Pearl replaces Tango Red Pearl.”

The front-wheel-drive Crosstour EX starts from $29,990, while the more upscale EX-L starts at $32,890. The all-wheel-drive package is only available with the EX-L model, starting at $34,340. Adding navigation adds a further $2,200 to the price tag, for a total of $34,770 with 2WD and $36,540 with AWD.
Although visually similar to the upcoming Acura ZDX, the Crosstour does not ride on the ZDX's platform. Based on a modified Honda Accord chassis, the Crosstour is being produced at Honda's East Liberty factory in Ohio (the ZDX will be produced in Alliston, Ontario).
